Leaving on a Jet Plane...

17th February 2009
Yesterday we finally paid for our tickets, so we are officially departing these shores on March 18th 2009. We will be flying out of London Heahrow at 15:20 and arriving at Delhi Indira Ghandi International Airport at 04:55 local time.
We have been speaking about this trip for so long that it is hard to believe that we will actually be jetting off in 4 weeks and 1 day! Now we just have to sort out our visas for India, organise some travel insurance and make sure we don't forget anything vital.
I hope those of you who log on and read this blog won't get too jealous - I'll try not to prattle on too much about how wonderful things are!

For the island hopping round Asia we'll book flights with Air Asia, Southeast Asia's answer to Ryan Air!
I think some people may find it a bit crazy that Adam and I are heading off round the world together when we have only known each other for 6 and a half months, but considering we have spent very little time apart in those months hopefully a change of scenery is just going to provide us with some great experiences to share and loads of happy memories. We're both getting seriously excited now and although I know Adam and I are going to be really sad to leave, we're going on an adventure and we'll be back before you know it!
